As a stand-alone system, it features a built-in CD recorder that writes scanned documents directly onto industry-standard CD-R disks for secure, long-term storage. Simple network connectivity enables easy sharing and distribution of active files to solve all your storage problems.
Powerful new features include scan to Scanfile, scan to e-mail and barcode recognition with automatic indexing. The CD4050 is a stand-alone archiving machine that can directly replace your current filing methods. The hopper can hold 100 sheets of paper at a time and scan at 40 pages per minute simplex or duplex.
With the touch screen control panel you create a filing cabinet and then the folders within them, you can then scan into the folders and index the files with up to 3 index fields. With the Canon CD4050 from Canon you no longer need to look at highly complex methods of archiving your paper files, it is so simple to just replicate your existing filing methods and you can be certain that your files are securely archived for instant retrieval at any time.
