Data Migration and Conversion - Document Management Support

If you have used either Microfiche or Microfilm to archive your documents Falcon are now able to both the hardware & software to digitise your film archives. Using Canon MS Microfilm readers it is possible to retrieve the existing images and import them into Scanfile (Canon's Document Management system). Up to 10 index references may then be applied to the new files. By converting the fiche/film to Scanfile the pain is taken out of locating files, whilst searching for a document is normally a cumbersome process at best, locating the document that you need takes seconds.
The costs incurred in continuing with Microfilm or Microfiche are normally considerably higher than the installation and ongoing support costs of a document management system. We would be happy to provide a document imaging audit and provide you with a cost comparison highlighting the additional benefits of electronic document management.
In addition to the speed of locating a document, once found there are many options available to you that simply weren't there before:
Send a page or selected pages by email in a compressed file that can be opened with no special software required.
Make annotations to the image such as highlighting a specific area.
Print selected pages or sections of pages.
Multiple users may view the pages simultaneously.
If you have been using the Canofile system from Canon, Falcon can easily convert the disks and have the information and images available within Scanfile.
