Glaxosmithkline Scanfile - Document Management Case Studies
Before we implemented the Scanfile system our records were either microfilmed or hard-stored. Since implementing the system we have input over 30,000 images which I estimate will save us between 25% and 30% of space.
The electronic distribution of documents is more convenient. For example, we scan to PDF, save to CD, upload to a central server with 'Public Access'. This has made it easier for customers to retrieve information - minutes rather than hours where we would normally have to do an archive box recall. Productivity has increased - we have processed double the amount of documents in recent months.
